ABSTRACT

The Family Planning movement in Latin America today demonstrates the adage that there is no stronger force than

an idea whose time has come. In 5 countries of Latin America - Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Paraguay - the

paying patient is able to obtain contraceptive help. Programs are getting started to provide family planning

education, medical service and supplies for the deprived women. Assisting international associations, foundations,

and missionary groups feel that each year more and more of the services must be assumed by the country's own

nationals. The time has come. (PubHealth.info Document ID: CONT9T 1034-06)
