ABSTRACT

Possible risk of cancer in situ of the cervix from medroxyprogesterone acetate injectable and other systemic steroidal

contraceptives was the subject of the announcement for a 1-day open hearing by the Food and Drug Administration.

Members of both the Obstetrics and Gynecology Advisory Committee and the Biometric and Epidemiological

Methodology Advisory Committee were scheduled to receive and review all of the information presented. A list of the

questions that would be asked and an anticipated time schedule are given. Materials related to this subject are
