ABSTRACT

2 multidisciplinary approach courses in family planning being offered at the College of Medicine of Seoul National

University are described. A special committee was organized to plan the curriculum for the graduate seminar on

family planning. This treats family planning and maternal and child health, the study of human reproduction, family

planning and eugenics, the problems of sterility, the economic and social psychological aspects of family planning,

and family planning and environmental pollution. In addition to the family planning teaching, a human ecology

course is given to medical students as an integrated teaching program. This course covers: economic

consequences of high population growth rates; the social effects; including internal migration and rapid

urbanization; consequences for education; health, and welfare; and child development problems resulting from
