ABSTRACT

Clinical experiences with Deposiston in 115 women aged 18-44 years are reported. Deposiston (17alpha-ethinyl-3-

isopropylsulphonyloxy-estradiol) was given on the 4th, 11th, 18th day of the cycle, with norethisterone acetate given

on the 25th day of the cycle. A pearl index of 1.87 was observed. Nausea and vomiting were reported about as

frequently as with conventional combined preparations, but bleeding was less frequent. Glucose metabolism

parameters were not affected by Deposiston, but LH secretion was held to baseline values. (PubHealth.info
