ABSTRACT

There is an inequity favoring surgeons in the scale of fees for family planning in hospitals. The anesthetists

remunerated service is not restricted so it is assumed that it includes both preanesthetic and postanesthetic care.

The surgeon's fee is paid for the operative procedure only. Therefore, there are occasions when the fee of a registrar

or senior house officer in surgery will be more than twice the fee of a consultant anesthetist. (PubHealth.info
