ABSTRACT

The objective of this paper is to analyze various factors determining the use of contraceptives among the married

women of reproductive age living in the urban areas in the Melanesian countries. The analysis relies upon the

findings of the survey of women in Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu, undertaken over a period of three months in the
